Get in touchE-FS were hired to design and build a mechanical system for the first phase of a data centre located in Manchester. The client needed a containment system that could be installed before the racks were put in place.
Brief
Our design team conducted a site visit to identify any challenges that may arise during installation. The sliding door system was required to fit into the floor and ceiling structure, with hot aisle containment ready for the cabinets to be installed at a later date.
During the installation, the end client requested different options, to which our install team worked closely with the client to provide a solution within the required time frame.

Products used
Following consultation the agreed solution was to design, engineer, manufacture and install 12 off bespoke containment sliding doors and hot aisle containment (HAC) systems dimensioned to sit flush from floor to ceiling within the structure.
During the consultation and design stage communication was key in understanding the scope and specification of the project, the manufacture and install took place on a pre-defined lead time coordinating production, install teams and site access to suit the customer and allow for server racks to be integrated without a hitch.
