Brief
EFS was provided initial basic specifications before our experienced engineering team entered a consultation period with the client to determine a bespoke solution for their data centre. Data centres play a pivotal role in the digital infrastructure of cloud service providers, housing and managing vast amounts of critical data.
EFS was tasked with designing and manufacturing enclosures that would provide optimal protection, organization, and accessibility for the infrastructure components within the data centres of a leading cloud service provider.

Products used
The solution that was agreed upon involved the manufacture and installation of 56 data cabinets from our F-Range Enclosures, fabricated according to the client’s specific height, depth and width requirements. Additionally, four Co-Locate server cabinets were integrated to complete the set-up.
The solution included various data centre server rack accessories integrated into each cabinet such as Vertical Baffles, Cable Trays, Earth Kits, and Enlogic Intelligent PDUs. The cabinets were interconnected in a daisy chain configuration and seamlessly integrated into EFS Aisle Containment units.
The client’s site was a highly secure facility with restricted access, which meant effective communication was crucial during the four-week production lead time to ensure that the EFS team could meet the client’s needs. The project was delivered successfully on time and with precise specifications, with installation completed over just three days in a secure and meticulously maintained data centre environment.
Despite the limited time between manufacturing the goods and starting the installation, EFS production control and processes were exceptionally efficient, ensuring no delays occurred prior to the installation phase.
